Mike Bridgeman
Devizes Constituency secretary for UKIP

Mike Bridgeman is a chartered engineer having worked for 25 years with Wiltshire County Council as a major bridge designer, resident engineer, and area highway manager for South Wiltshire, before leaving to take up a post with an international highways contractor managing Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts. He is married with two children and now retired.
He enjoys playing golf and music and does a little voluntary work for day centres playing keyboards. He is a local Neighbourhood Watch member, tries to help the Parish Council on highway related issues from time to time, and spends his spare time walking the local footpaths or on the Plain with his dog.

Mike left the Conservatives some 2 years ago because he could not support many of their policies, including remaining within the European Union (EU), which did not democratically reflect the majority view of its members who wanted withdrawal from the EU, and support for the war in Iraq. He joined UKIP, and is now the Devizes Constituency secretary for UKIP and on UKIP’s South West election steering committee.
